Wright Hassall set to move from Thomson Elite To Pilgrim’s Lawsoft PMS

Warwickshire-based Wright Hassall is a leading legal practice that has, over the last couple of years, invested in a far-reaching technology overhaul to enhance service delivery to clients and underpin the strategic goals of its dynamic management team.

Central to this process will be the implementation of Pilgrim’s LawSoft practice management solution, which is set to bring significant process improvements and link together other best of breed components within the practice, such as the Interwoven document management system. Pilgrim Systems is a Legal Futures Associate.

James Hillard, partner and COO at Wright Hassall, says: “While we have known for some considerable time now that Pilgrim was our preferred supplier, we had a number of other projects to complete that were necessary in order to create the first-class technology environment we were striving for and in which LawSoft is a crucial element.

We all know that nothing in life is certain. As the actor, director and philosopher Clint Eastwood once said: “If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster.” He also said he’d tried being reasonable and didn’t like it. They should teach this kind of philosophy in law school. One thing in life is reasonably certain though. If you’re a law firm worth your salt, at some point you will be approached by another entity (most probably a work introducer) with a whizzy idea to ‘partner’ with you to ‘help you accelerate your growth’. In commercial speak this means, ‘we’d like to keep feeding you work but we’d also like to share in your profits’. The arrangement may be pitched to you as a joint venture – a win-win no less.
