Hugh James, the biggest firm in Wales, is extending its law firm network into the north of the country, it has emerged. It already has 120 firms signed up to Legal Network Wales.
East Midlands firm Nelsons has launched Fusion Legal, a new regional support network, following West Midlands firm FBC Manby Bowdler, which launched Hub.Legal this summer.
The solicitor in charge of a network of 136 West Midlands firms has said it aims to lead the way in support for small law firms, while remaining outside any national group. Hub.Legal is operated by FBC Manby Bowdler, formerly a hub in Pannone’s Connect2Law network.
Law firm network Connect2Law is to live on separately from Slater & Gordon-owned Pannone after a deal struck with its former head, David Jabbari – with S&G launching its own referral network at the same time.
Connect2Law – the largest network of law firms in England and Wales – is planning to raise its profile and make itself the “UK’s leading response for law firms” to the post-Legal Services Act market. As a sign of intent it has recruited David Jabbari as its new chief executive.
