LawSoft Auto Billing delivers “real benefits for clients”

[1]

Time savings: auto billing means more time serving clients

Leading Scottish law firm Harper Macleod is moving towards 100% automated billing after delivering significant time savings and a better service for clients through its increased use of LawSoft Auto Billing from Legal Futures Associate Pilgrim Systems [2].

Bills are now generated automatically by LawSoft, which provides a seamless, consistent and transparent process that allows clients to receive their documentation faster. By removing the manual steps in the billing process, the margin for human error is also removed, meaning communications with clients are always accurate.

Harper Macleod’s information systems director, Gary Sorley, said: “Harper Macleod has always been known as a law firm with a business mind and that’s why we’re continually investing in our technology and systems, and have been shortlisted for the Use of Technology award at the 2010 Managing Partner Forum awards. LawSoft is another integral part of our vision to better serve our clients and improve efficiencies.”

Operations director Nicola White added: “By introducing LawSoft Auto Billing, we’ve made substantial time savings. Less time spent on billing administration is more time spent serving our clients – which is the most important goal for us. It is suitably flexible to be applied to a range of different clients and different departments with confidence. We aim to achieve near 100% auto billing in the coming year.”

Pilgrim’s chief operating officer, Colin Kennedy, said: “LawSoft’s user-friendly Auto Billing enables firms to achieve great savings in time and effort, as well as ensuring fees are billed promptly, which results in significantly improved cash flow.”
