LawStore targets businesses with mix of legal and non-legal services

Green: LawStore brand is doing well

LawStore – the consumer-facing brand developed by regional law firm and alternative business structure MTA Solicitors – will next week launch into the business market, while further high street shops are also planned, Legal Futures can reveal.

With research last week highlighting the high level of unmet legal need [2] among small business, LawStore Business will make use of the unique group of legal and non-legal businesses owned by MTA [3] to offer start-ups and young companies fixed-fee legal, accountancy, marketing and IT packages.

The prices of the start-up packages range from the basic company formation legal package at £99, up to £1,000-plus for comprehensive, bespoke ongoing legal or accountancy support.

There will be a pick and choose menu for bespoke, fixed-fee packages which include company formation, privacy policies, terms and conditions, and memorandum and articles of association. The IT and marketing packages offer website, SEO and industry competitor audit services alongside launch press and media plans. Accountancy packages include profit and loss, age debtor, annual returns, statement of accounts plus VAT health checks and tax planning.

Each package offers the option of ongoing support and will involve face-to-face meetings with the relevant professionals to set up all of the client’s relevant business needs.

MTA managing partner David Green said: “The LawStore brand is doing well and we wanted to develop our offering to the small business market with all the expertise we have available.”

It is the latest move in MTA’s bid to diversify away from personal injury after recently acquiring volume property practice Solex Legal Services [4].

LawStore currently has a retail store in Bromley, and will shortly open in Cambridge and Manchester as well.

LawStore Business will be launched at The Business Show at London’s EXCEL Arena next week, where MTA will also display its online credit control and debt recovery service, Positive Collections.
