Tikit Tikit, part of the BT Group and leading provider of technology solutions for law and professional services firms, has today announced a number of key new iManage wins in the EMEA region.

2016 was a successful year for Tikit across the board with increases in both adoption of their own best-of-breed software and partner products. As a long-term trusted partner of iManage, they saw a flurry of wins as more clients moved onto the largest document management provider in the legal sector.

A Birmingham based top 100 law firm, selected iManage as their future document management system and took on 900 new iManage licenses.  Hassans, an international law firm based in Gibraltar also chose iManage for their document management needs, whilst Withers and Rodgers LLP, a leading UK and European firm of patent and trade lawyers has extended their iManage adoption throughout the firm. Tikit will be implementing iManage as well as providing services at all of these sites.

Katherine Ainley, Tikit’s Chief Executive Officer commented “Becoming an enabler of greater firm efficiency and, ultimately, profitability is at the heart of Tikit’s mission. We understand the challenges faced by the modern firm and as a result, we are seeing greater uptake of solutions such as iManage, that have been built to support our client’s growth in a complex and ever changing environment.”

Tikit have been trusted iManage partners for over 15 years, winning awards such as EMEA Partner of the Year Award amongst others. These awards and recent wins demonstrate firms’ on-going trust in Tikit to make their iManage implementation a success.

“We are delighted to serve the legal community,” said Geoff Hornsby, iManage’s general manager, EMEA. “The investment we have made in the “smart” features in iManage Work 10 is really being accepted.  iManage listened to its users and is delivering a product that works the way they want to work.”

Make your mark: Personal branding for barristers

stand out from the crowd

A recent Legal Futures article reported that the number complaints involving use of social media by barristers is increasing. The BSB have warned that “as social media and the internet become more prominent in our daily lives, there is an increasing need for barristers to be very careful about what they post whether in their professional or personal lives”. While inappropriate use of social media isn’t anything new, what struck me when reading that paragraph is that, for barristers, I would argue, there shouldn’t be a defining line between the personal and professional. As a barrister, you are your own USP, your personal brand is everything.
