A legal expert from claims specialists Hudgell Solicitors [2] has again been recognised as one of the country’s leading figures in supporting victims of serious clinical negligence, handling some of the most complex, high-value cases.
Chris Moore, who is based in the firm’s Hull headquarters, has again been selected onto The Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, for which only solicitors who can demonstrate extensive knowledge, skills and experience in dealing with high-value and complicated injury cases are selected.
Solicitors have to go through a rigorous assessment process in which cases they have handled are considered and reviewed. Only firms with representatives on the panel are able to apply for the significant amount of legal aid required to conduct such high-value claims on behalf of their clients.
Mr Moore is Joint Head of Clinical Negligence at Hudgell Solicitors, which has expanded rapidly in recent years and now supports around 10,000 people a year in bringing compensation claims for personal injury and medical negligence.
His reselection to the panel will mean he will have served as a member for 20 years by the time his latest renewal expires at the end of 2020.
It also means Hudgell Solicitors, which serves a national client base with offices also in Leeds and Fleet Street, London, now has three senior solicitors on the panel, including Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp and Amanda Stevens, who are both based in the firm’s growing capital base.
Mr Moore said: “It is very pleasing to once again be accepted onto the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, and the fact that this renewal will take me to 20 years of membership is something I feel very proud of.

It comes as another senior solicitor, Matt Tuff, was last week named Claims Professional of the Year at the Modern Claims Awards, in recognition of his work in supporting people to rebuild their lives having suffered catastrophic injuries, such as brain and spinal injuries.
