SearchFlow launch individual project websites as enhancement to Site Assembly

  • Updated web-based software allows users of Site Assembly to showcase projects to clients online
  • Project and site document libraries, tailored plans and mapping data can now be complied and accessed securely from anywhere
  • Individual project websites will increase the flexibility, portability and usability of the Site Assembly service

SearchFlow, the conveyancing search provider, has enhanced its Site Assembly service to offer each project an individual website to give users a secure online tool to compile and showcase site plans and documentation to their clients.

The Site Assembly service lays out all relevant land titles, tenures and property interests in a single map showing any gaps in ownership instantly. Additional data such as environmental information, the position of utilities and aerial photography can be added to build a comprehensive profile of a site.

The new project websites will provide commercial lawyers with a virtual project document library where all tailored plan and mapping data for each client project is held. Each site is set up and hosted securely and can be accessed by any nominated user, including the client. The enhancement to the Site Assembly software and introduction of project websites is expected to reduce the time taken for commercial lawyers to prepare project documentation and minimise the risk associated with manual site planning.

Richard Hinton, business development director at SearchFlow, said: “Site Assembly helps commercial lawyers avoid making cumbersome manual copies of all necessary information and presenting this physically to clients. Now, by bringing all this information together online, the enhanced Site Assembly service will bring the process even further into the modern age, avoiding the need for cumbersome software and delivering a huge time saving.”

As well as reducing the amount of time lawyers spend compiling and presenting site documentation, the new websites will also reduce the risk associated with misplacing documentation and misinterpreting information such as boundaries, utilities and transport services.

Richard Hinton, added: “Saving time and reducing risk are compelling reasons for the move online. But it also gives commercial lawyers the chance to demonstrate to their clients they have access to innovative, cutting-edge technology and this will certainly do no harm at all to their chances of retaining their clients in the future.”

Ingrid Saffin, partner at Mundays, said: “Site Assembly is saving us weeks of preparation time and adding real value to the work we do for our clients. The service allows us to quickly and easily identify titles, type of tenure and the extent of boundaries for ransom strips and unregistered land, visualise changes to the site over time and the potential for contamination. There is no question we will be embracing these new enhancements and will be using this service for most of our development sites in the future.”
