OneSearch200OneSearch Direct, the UK’s largest local search data company, is delighted to be exhibiting at the Modern Law Conveyancing Conference 2015.

Taking place on Thursday 3 December at Chelsea FC, Stamford Bridge, delegates are invited to come and chat to the OneSearch Channel Managers and enter a free prize draw to win a Luxury Christmas Hamper from Fortnum & Mason.

The Conveyancing Association’s inaugural conference aims to address the most prominent issues in the industry. It promises insight on regulation, lenders, new initiatives and cyber scams, with speakers from The SRA, CLC, The Law Society of England and Wales, and OneSearch partner, Legal Eye Ltd.

Lidia Quinlan, channel manager, OneSearch Direct, comments:

“We’re thrilled to be a part of the inaugural Modern Law Conveyancing Conference, and have no doubt it will be the first of many successful events. It’s sure to be an exciting and informative day, with guidance on how to adapt to and prosper in an environment where workloads are outpacing the number of conveyancers.

“We’re really looking forward to discussing this with the delegates and letting them know exactly how we can help tackle this thorny issue with our own innovative products and services. We’re also excited to welcome new and existing customers to come along and enter our festive prize draw for the Fortnum & Mason luxury hamper.”

Liz Jarvis, managing director, OneSearch Direct, adds:

“The great thing about this event is that it is really sinks its teeth into issues that are so prevalent in the conveyancing industry. It acknowledges the fact that since post-2007, there has been a deficit in proactive solutions and innovation to keep up with the pace of the property market.

“This is something we are very passionate about at OneSearch Direct, because we have always strived to create better options for our clients. It’s not in our interest or, indeed, the interests of the industry, to maintain the status quo when there is so much progress to be made.

“The conveyancing industry took a massive knock after the financial crisis, and we felt it just as keenly as our clients. The recovering property market is spreading our solicitors ever thinner, and while it might be a nice problem to have, it’s a problem nonetheless.

“That’s why we have utilised our own CON29 datasets to offer solutions that are new to the industry and can genuinely assist solicitors in time-sensitive transactions. Most solicitors have experienced nerve-wracking delays that can put whole transactions at risk, and we look forward to discussing what options that are available to them at the Modern Law Conveyancing Conference.”

OneSearch Direct will be exhibiting at Stand 7, and invite all attendees to have a chat. To find out, visit www.onesearchdirect.co.uk or call 0800 052 0117.

Going social

Derek Fitzpatrick Clio

Legal professionals, as communicators, serve a crucial role in social conversations, but have not been quick to adopt a strong presence on social media. Many lawyers are reluctant to start a social media profile as they don’t foresee any benefits to having one. The bottom line is that lawyers won’t get clients from social media if they are not using it. With 62% of adults having a Facebook account, your clients – and competitors – are using social media and you can no longer afford to treat it as an afterthought in the digital age.
