mmadigital launches Academy as it moves to new headquarters

mmalogo-new200Online marketing specialist for the legal sector, mmadigital will launch its Academy designed to give law firms first-hand insight into digital marketing tools.

The mmadigital Academy has been launched on the back of the company’s move to stunning new headquarters at Abney Hall in Cheadle, Cheshire.

The limited-place workshops kick off on Tuesday 17 March, with a look at using video in the marketing mix, titled The Chemistry of Video.

Partners and marketing leads at law firms will be able to find out about the strategic benefits of using video, as well as a practical, hands-on activities to see the latest video technology in action, such as 4k.

The two-hour session will cover all elements of video marketing, from understanding video and audiences to setting objectives and finding out what it takes to make a great video.

Simon Gamble, managing director at mmadigital, will lead the video workshop with mmadigital’s head of video, Matt Davies, and senior visual artist Kolt Wilson.

“Video has been steadily growing over the last few years as a prime marketing tool, but with the developments in video on social media platforms and the expected mainstream use of ultra-HD 4k video, it’s more important than ever to add it to your marketing mix,” says Simon. “Law firms are starting to look at video more going forward as prime content for marketing channels, such as website and social media, so we thought it was a great time to help people to understand using video and get an insight into how it works.”

Simon added: “We’re really pleased to be launching the mmadigital Academy having just moved to our fantastic new headquarters. It’s a very exciting time of development for us building on rapid growth over the last 12 months. We will also be continuing to invest in local digital talent through our apprentice scheme and the Academy is another way for us to share our expertise and provide new opportunities for engagement.

Cybercriminals are not just after money but are looking for sensitive information too, so the legal services sector is an obvious target. In the last year we have had reports of around £7m of client money being lost to such crime. This is not an IT issue and it should not be left to the IT teams to sort out. It is a high-level responsibility and a board-level issue that must be taken seriously. We suspect that we will look back on 2016 and ask why we didn’t respond quicker.
