Linetime aid Birkenhead law firm maintain their high standards

LinetimeBirkenhead law firm, RMNJ is to implement Linetime’s Liberate legal services platform throughout the practice.

Established in 1948, RMNJ is based in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead.  The practice offers a wide range of services including conveyancing, personal injury, family, mental health, prison law, wills/probate, power of attorney and mediation.

The conveyancing service has national reach and completes several thousand conveyancing transactions annually.   The firms ethos is to provide an expert, personal and responsive service to its clients and looked for a system to support these aims.

RMNJ took the decision to invest in Liberate as it understood the benefits both to its clients and to the business that would be derived from a fully integrated practice and case management system.

Case management will be introduced throughout in order to streamline the business process and to maintain a consistent and high standard of work each and every time. As part of the project RMNJ will implement the Liberate Outlook addin. The addin provides fee earners with the opportunity to readily manage their emails, quickly review recent cases, view case histories and to access cases all from within Microsoft Outlook.

The conveyancing team will utilise Liberate case management to guide the case through each stage. Fee earners will benefit from the integration with the Land Registry Business Gateway along with the inbuilt link to SDLT. This enables users, via a single  mouse  click,  to submit an SDLT1 and the validated SDLT5 receipt automatically logged against the case along with the UTRN. The accounts team can also receive a request for the relevant payment all from the same single click.

A number of fee earners require the ability to review cases whilst away from the office and selected Liberate Voyager to meet this need. Voyager is a browser based, device independent application providing secure access to case information and documents.

To complete the picture the firm use Liberate practice management for accounting and time recording.

David Pontin, Partner “We have previously used case management in selected areas of the business. This investment will see Liberate implemented in all areas and will provide a single repository for all our data. This includes accounting, case progression, emails, correspondence and phone notes. Having the information to hand will improve our efficiency and provide greater oversight for our compliance team.”
