InfoTrack take advantage of Land Registry National Polygon Service to reduce delays in the conveyancing process

InfoTrack 200 [1]InfoTrack [2], the conveyancing service provider, are taking advantage of Land Registry National Polygon Service by placing title data into a Map Search tool. The feature allows conveyancers to quickly identify land by Title Number or postcode.

InfoTrack say this is in direct response to their findings that delays are caused when land is not clearly identified early in the conveyancing process.

InfoTrack state the new, free to use, feature is designed to overcome the challenges that conveyancers continue to face and saves valuable time when dealing with large areas of land, and is particularly useful for commercial and new developments.

Scott Bozinis, CEO of InfoTrack commented “Our data tells us that many delays in the conveyancing process are a result of land not being identified clearly from the start. This is especially true when land has no associated postcode or lacks information. Using Land Registry title data and adding a simple feature to search by Title Number helps overcome the delays. The investment into the National Polygon Service demonstrates our intention to continue to evolve the market and give conveyancers back their time.”

Stuart Gray, Land Registry’s business development manager, said “we are delighted InfoTrack is using the data in such an innovative way. The National Polygon Service is the most comprehensive dataset we supply. They now have immediate access to more than 24 million titles in England and Wales. By integrating this data with our Business Gateway API they can also access our register data, title plans and obtain online ownership confirmation, enabling them to verify home ownership online. We look forward to working together in the future.

New mapping features have also been introduced onto the InfoTrack platform, including the ability to draw and plot boundaries of properties and highways on an uploaded plan, catering for the different ways in which conveyancers’ work.

Scott added, “Technology in the workplace must be enjoyable and easy for the user and that should be no different even if it is the plotting of boundaries. By providing convenient mapping tools, conveyancers can provide information about property the way they want. Along with being able to perform key conveyancing tasks – including searches, indemnities, SDLT Submissions and AP1 Transfers within a single platform, using InfoTrack to complete a matter is made more enjoyable than using multiple sites.”
