Digital marketing is set to grow even larger in 2015, with online advertising spend predicted to outstrip traditional for the first time. This is the opportunity for conveyancers to review your presence in the online world.

Perhaps you think it’s not a major concern for your specialism, but it’s more important than ever. The latest statistics from Google (November 2014) showed that conveyancing queries grew by 13% in quarter 3 (2014), with a 34% increase via mobile.

A recent survey by Veyo showed that people would be willing to pay more for a faster conveyancing experience. Other key findings were that 29% of the 2,002 respondents felt out of touch during the process and significantly 42% of respondents are not sure or unlikely to reuse their conveyancer/solicitor.

These findings and statistics are clear indications that solicitors (consumers’ main go-to for conveyancing) must invest in their customer experience online and through communications tools.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning business from the mobile online customer, you must make sure that the user experience on your website is responsive and therefore effective across all platforms, including tablet and mobile. The digital user experience should be given as much thought and importance as face-to-face interactions, if not more, as this is where first impressions really are make or break. Today’s client is a multi-tasking, smartphone using, instantaneous digital creature who wants the information or the answer now. Having a useful, fast-loading website, optimizing your potential leads through SEO and PPC, and keeping in touch, whether that be through text, email, instant messaging or even social media, will help solicitors to win the business in the first place and retain it, or be recommended to other customers.

The future of business is online and it’s mobile. Be part of it.
