On Thursday 19 April, the first ever family law tweet-up took place at One Alfred Place, a private members club in the heart of London’s West End, attracting over 60 family law tweeters from all over the UK.
The purpose was to bring together Twitter users to meet in the flesh and to discuss family law issues using more than 140 characters allowed by Twitter. It was organised by leading north-east family law specialists, Major Family Law (@majorfamilylaw) and sponsored by LexisNexis [1] (@LexisNexisUK), a leading provider of legal information and practical guidance.
Geraldine Morris, Head of LexisPSL Family at LexisNexis (@geraldinemorris), said: “LexisNexis publishes an extensive range of family law online and print content, making sponsorship of the first family law tweet-up a natural partnership. The event was a great opportunity to share ideas and knowledge and I’m delighted that it was a huge success.”
An early adopter and advocate of social media in customer engagement in the north-east, Major Family Law were keen to promote networking and collaboration between family law practitioners.
