Searchflow200xInternational law firm Eversheds has streamlined its conveyancing process through a unique partnership with SearchFlow.

Eversheds is well-known in the industry for its expertise and exceptional consistency of quality service and delivery. During the recession the firm recognised the need to adapt, focussing on reducing costs while maintaining excellent service.

The firm approached SearchFlow, a leading conveyancing search provider, to help develop a solution which would consolidate Eversheds’ conveyancing process and save the company and its customers money.

Reviewing Eversheds’ position and requirements, SearchFlow proposed a flexible outsourced solution that would be adaptable to evolving challenges. Thanks to a dedicated ring-fenced specialist helpdesk within SearchFlow’s operations, Eversheds only needs to supply the address and select the required searches.

SearchFlow’s relationship with over 350 local authorities in England and Wales ensures the supply of searches for Eversheds has been much more efficient.

The team takes on the administrative burden of the search process, including following up to ensure turnaround times are adhered to and customers’ expectations are met. In addition Eversheds relies in their expertise to identify any emissions or additional searches that should take place.

This unique offering from SearchFlow ensures that Eversheds maintains its high levels of service, is flexible in line with sustained growth and reduce customer waiting times.

As a result 73% of Eversheds’ support calls are closed within 24 hours, and 88% within 48 hours. The outsourced team at SearchFlow processes an average of 2,000 searches a month with a quality control score of 99%. In addition, Eversheds has reduced costs, has a more efficient process and has more resource available to dedicate to business growth.

“We are delighted with the outcome of our strategic partnership with SearchFlow,” commented Artur Klepacz of Eversheds. “Optimal outsourcing has been the ideal solution for our business as it allows us to concentrate on other areas with the confidence that the SearchFlow specialists are handling our search process. As a result we have significantly improved turnaround times for searches whilst reducing our internal costs. This has enabled us to not only deliver a consistent high quality service but also to pass considerable savings directly to our clients.”

“It’s fantastic to see the result of our partnership with Eversheds,” said Ben Hobbs, Head of Commercial Sales at SearchFlow. “We worked closely with Artur and his team to understand their needs so that we could put together a tailored solution which would cover all grounds. With an ever-evolving company like Eversheds, we understand how important it is to remain flexible so that our tailored solution evolves as the business does. It’s great to see it all come together.”

The skills shortage in law firms is the biggest threat to handling cybercrime

CLC Roundtable discussion at Malmaison Hotel, Charterhouse Square

The skills shortage in our businesses is the biggest threat to our industry when looking at cybercrime. Cybercriminals are not just after money but are looking for sensitive information too, so the legal services sector is an obvious target. In the last year we have had reports of around £7m of client money being lost to such crime. This is not an IT issue and it should not be left to the IT teams to sort out. It is a high-level responsibility and a board-level issue that must be taken seriously. We suspect that we will look back on 2016 and ask why we didn’t respond quicker.
