New Wirral office for PSG

Market leading national conveyancing search provider PSG is set to expand its operations in North Wales.

From the 15 December, operations will move from the Prestatyn based office to a larger office based on the Wirral.  The move follows a restructuring which will see more “boots on the ground” in North Wales itself, whilst using the latest technology to improve the operational efficiency and bring associated improvements in service to clients.

PSG is in involved in more than one in five residential property transactions and specialises in providing property searches and related products for conveyancing solicitors across England and Wales.

Julian Lee, director of PSG Wirral, said ‘A key part of PSG’s success is the ability to build strong partnerships with conveyancers and solicitors in the areas we are based.  I think solicitors really appreciate the local knowledge, expertise and personal service that have helped make PSG a market leader and I’m very excited about the opportunities this expansion will bring’.

PSG offers far more than searches and is committed to supporting CPD, training, compliance and risk management.  They engage with local and regional Law Societies to support their activities. PSG Financial Services Ltd was established in 2012 and provides instant on-line access to a suite of AA rated Title and Legal Indemnity Insurance policies.

Oliver Andrews, at Hillyer McKeown LLP in Chester recently commented: “PSG provide an efficient and user friendly service. The online portal has made ordering and tracking the progress of searches so much easier allowing us to precisely deal with any queries. A mention must go to Julian and Linda at the Wirral office. They couldn’t be more helpful and never leave a question or request unanswered”.

PSG’s business development director, Stephen Murray added: “Julian and his team embody PSG’s service driven approach to customer care and will provide an improved level of service to our existing customers in North Wales.  We look forward to welcoming new clients in 2015.”

Be careful you do not leave anything behind: will we see the end of chambers?

Charles Feeny

Experience of practice by digital support suggests that working practices will become much more informal and spontaneous, not requiring support by specific entities or even contractual arrangements. This is likely to be particularly true of the Bar, which is or should be a profession focusing on individuals. The future of the Bar is more likely to resemble a library as seen in Scotland and Ireland – albeit an electronic library – rather than the traditional chambers structure.
